“This is a little bungalow style house, built originally in the 30’s, located in Fort Worth in the Arlington Heights addition. The house was in rough shape when we were contracted to do a complete home renovation. It was so bad in fact, that the home owner was having to run her appliances from extension cords. We gutted the entire house down to the studs, removed the rear wall of the house and added another 1200 sqft of master bed/bath, walk-in closet, larger kitchen and laundry room. We basically had to rebuild the house…new plumbing, electrical, etc. The customer got tight on the budget at the end, not allowing for us to remove the entire roof and rebuild it (what was in original scope of work), but we figured out a way to add substantial bracing and support to the existing framing in the attic, adequately bringing her roof up to code and saving her some money. The before and after photos are startling!
